Of baking and stuff

Hello everyone! Feeling so damn hyper right now after drinking a cup of my own homemade latte. I guess it's because of the amount of caffeine that I've taken in. The latte that I made for myself was too strong ; I added too much of coffee powder into it. I can feel that my heart is pumping so fast. Goodness. I shall not do this again. *felt regretful*

During the holidays, my sis and I did some baking and we even tried to make our own ice popsicles. She did most of the cooking while I did all the washing. What I enjoy about baking and creating our own food is that I get to experiment with different types of ingredients/food and it makes me happy to see the results. On the other hand, I spent most of my time on sleeping. But I think I've overslept a lot and this had caused me to feel tired all the time instead of being energized. That's not a good sign. :(

Here are the pictures :

These are the ingredients that we used to make the yogurt ice popsicles! Well, I don't have the recipe as we actually created/modified our own recipe after watching lots of youtube videos. :x

IMG_6473
Blended the fresh strawberries into a puree.

IMG_6474
Placed a cup of yogurt into a big bowl.

IMG_6475
Mixed some sweet condensed milk and a bit of milk into the bowl.

IMG_6478
Poured some whipping cream into the mixture.

IMG_6476
Added the strawberry puree into it.

IMG_6477
Done with the mixing!

IMG_6480
We poured the mixture into a measuring cup as it will be easier for us to pour it into the ice cream moulds.

Woke up early on a Sunday morning to bake red velvet cupcakes with dad.

The outcome. It wasn't really nice though. :(

Failed.

Wanted to share this with you guys. It's red cabbage juice. Pretty isn't it? :) I've come across this website where they teach people on how to make your own natural food colouring using red cabbage juice. I tried to use this red cabbage juice on my cupcakes and it didn't really work well as the colour of the cupcake itself was quite dark for the juice to act on. I guess it might work better on vanilla cupcakes. :/

This is the website :)

IMG_8381
Tried to make whipped cream cheese frosting for these cupcakes. The cream was good but it didn't last long, it melted after a few minutes. :o

Besides baking and making various kinds of food, I've also spent some time surfing the net. My advice, be careful with the things that you share online as it might lead to bad consequences. Be wise.

Before I end my post, let me share a picture with you guys,

Mum bought this cute can of m&ms today :D

Also, I've added a 'What's popular' page in my blog. This is a page where I'll post the links of some of the popular posts in my blog. :)

Goodnight everyone, see you guys soon! :)

25-11-13

Hey people! I'm here today for a quick update. Just wanna share with you guys about some recent events/happenings in my life. Time flies, a week of school holidays has passed. During this entire week, I did nothing productive, to be honest. All I did was watching youtube videos for almost every single day. Youtube videos will never fail to entertain me. Hahaha. :p

And another thing is, I miss my darlings. I miss seeing them every single day. I really miss my besties, See Qing and Javier. I miss joking around with See Qing. I used to tease Javier almost every day and I'm missing that. I miss chatting with Huey Syuen and Slo. I miss seeing Ji Ji's happy face too. It's alright, we shall see each other again on January. :D Next year's gonna be our last year in high school. Things will be, of course, much tiring and that's when all the tension/stress comes in. As for now, I don't hope that the holidays will end that fast as you see, I'm lying here on my bed feeling lazy and unwilling to do anything that is strenuous. :p

Just some day where I stopped Javier from taking my pics. I forgot when was this taken.

*you can skip this unless if you're interested in the story of the power being cut down in my house*
In the middle of the Friday night, we were all sleeping and there was a power cut. The feeling was quite eerie. A fact about me, I don't have any air conditioner in my room so I usually turn on both the fans in my room when I'm about to sleep. So on that night, when I was in the middle of my sleep, I heard the noise that sounded like the power's been cut down, I realised that both the fans were not functioning and my digital clock was not functioning either. When I opened my eyes, I see nothing. Literally nothing.

Yea, exactly like this.

The whole building was in darkness. I couldn't see a thing at all. Then I woke my sister up and searched for my phone in the darkness. Thank goodness, I was able to search for my phone. We went out of our room and dad came out of his room too. Lighted up some candles and we sat on the couch in the living room. After a short moment, we heard the voice of the children upstairs singing to "the fox" and they were so hyper. Seriously kids these days. Two hours later, the power is back and we went back to sleep. Okay this is the end of this lame story. -_____-

Yesterday, my sister and I made yogurt ice cream with mixed berries! Absolutely yummy :D I can't post the recipe of this yogurt ice cream that we made cuz we didn't actually make it according to the websites. We simply created the recipe by ourselves. :p

Yup, I posted it on instagram. :)

As for today, my dad, sis and I made red velvet cupcakes! Okay, it was not in red colour as we didn't use any red food colouring. Shall get some natural food colouring soon. :) Didn't get to take the pics of the cupcakes but it's just quite similar to the previous cupcakes that I'd made. Except that it's light brown in colour.

Here's some videos I would like to share with you guys,

Alright, I shall stop right here. I'm tired.
Guess this post is quite sh*tty as I'm really really tired while typing these things.
See you guys soon! :)

Dinner at saisaki buffet

Hey people! My holidays are finally here! Yesterday was the last day of our school and most of us really enjoyed it. We, the Einsteiniens and the students from Archimedes went for a visit at Taylor's University and College while my bestie, See Qing and her classmates went for a visit at the Segi University and College. The activities held were quite fun but really really tiring. We did experiments on collecting our own DNA, which they called it as 'genes in a bottle'. The experiment was quite similar with what we did previously during our visit to Sunway uni & college (DNA of bananas).

Another thing that we did in Taylor's was something like a mission where each of the groups were given a piece of question paper and all you have to do is to walk around and get answers almost everywhere in the university's compound. Okay seriously, the most attractive thing about the university is that they have like, A LOT of cafes and restaurants. Skip the food part. During the mission, we took pictures with the staffs, male students and we even took a picture with an international student which was a korean lady. Not to forget we also bumped into a nice and friendly girl senior. HEH! After we've completed the challenge, it's time for our break, yay! Right after I've finished my lunch, Huey Syuen and Chun Min accompanied me to Starbucks to get a drink. :D

Loving the starbucks red paper cup!

And the main topic is, dinner at saisaki! It's located in the UOA building in KL, you can check it out by googling it. You know how much I love about buffets right right right. *drools* Buffets are amazing. You can just take whatever kinds of food that you like and gulp it all at once, nah just joking, you'll die from choking by eating like that. My mum happen to know this place as she and her friends had buffet lunch once before at saisaki. So she brought us there last Wednesday! :D
