Menya Yamato Ramen 麵屋 大和, Menjalara Kepong

Starting off this post by saying hello to all my dearest readers! :) I meant to blog about this ramen restaurant experience earlier but due to numerous happenings and family events lately, I have only decided to share it with you guys today.

So..what is this ramen shop that I'm talking about? Located in Menjalara, Menya Yamato is a newly opened japanese restaurant that serves a variety of delicious ramen and other types of dishes that includes japanese appetizers, donburi and side dishes. It has rapidly become one of my favourite ramen restaurants.

Let's talk about the pricing. The noodles are reasonably priced at RM15-RM18 per bowl (depending on which flavor/type) including GST. From what I know, they do not have service charges. Ramen lovers, this might be a new good place for you to try out. :p

This is how the restaurant looks like from the outside.

This restaurant uses wooden tables and chairs with wooden like floor tiles and the walls are white. Mmm, minimalist vibes.

A part of their menu.

Untitled
If you don't feel like ordering any drinks it is totally fine as they do serve customers with a jugful of iced water. So generous! :)

Untitled
I guess this is their special fried onion with chili flakes (sort of?) sauce. I personally find that adding this sauce into the ramen enhances its flavour but it is spicy.

Untitled
I ordered a bowl of tonkotsu ramen (pork bone broth ramen). The noodles were springy and the soup was good. I'm hungry as I'm typing this hehehe.

Untitled
While my mum and sis ordered spicy tan tan ramen.

Untitled
Total bill costed RM54 in total.

All in all, I find that it was really worth visiting this restaurant as they do serve great ramen. I've revisited it a few times to satisfy my ramen cravings hehe.

Next, I would also be including some updates from my recent visits to two different restaurants.

Untitled
Yup you guessed it, we made a second visit to slappy cakes in publika.

Untitled
This time, we order an extra pancake batter in the peanut butter flavour.

Untitled
Sis ordered an ala carte spaghetti carbonara.

Untitled
She couldn't finish the entire plate of it so she give some of it to me. Even though I'm not a big fan of carbonara (cuz I find carbonaras are too filling for me) I would say it was pretty good as it wasn't really really creamy as I thought it would be.

Bear shaped pancakes!

My pancake creations. :p

On a saturday afternoon, my sis and I went to Dontaku in one utama for lunch.

Untitled

Untitled
Can't remember exactly what I ordered but I guess it was tonkotsu ramen. The taste of it was just mediocre.

Untitled
Cocorica was heavily raved by the people online so my sis and I gave it a try. We had the blue hawaii flavoured drink.

Untitled
Blue hawaii drink ft messy background. To be honest, the only attractive thing about this drink is the colour itself. Tastewise.. to me it was just meh.

Added some fresh milk into it and it tasted a bit better but still I didn't really like this drink.

And that's all for today's update! I'll see you guys again soon. :)
