Summer 2019

I swear I'm not crying as I'm typing this..

This can't be happening..

My summer holidays have come to an end!
😥🍃🌴🌅🌻

Cheh, I thought you had anything else to say.

Now I can no longer do whatever I like- that includes going to bed late, waking up late and sleeping for as long as I like. And worse, school's starting soon again. *groans*

But on the bright side, I really loved this year's summer holidays despite not doing anything really productive. Unlike previous years, this year, I got to rediscover my passion for art and craft and I did lots of things that I felt enjoyable.

I don't really have any interesting stories to share with you guys since most of the days I stayed home  but I'll just update you guys what I've done for the past 3 months briefly.

You ready? Here goes nothing.

1. I made my first ever explosion box

For my sister's friend's birthday. I might upload a video of me doing that whole thing sometime in the future. Wait, cross that, I don't know if I'll ever bother to upload that video because I'm just really lazy to edit it.

2. I visited the national science museum

I updated this before in a previous blog post so you can always just check it out.

3. Realising that tea bags make a pretty good filter

I had sore throat the other day so I went ahead and made myself a cup of honey. As I looked into the cup, okay this may sound disgusting but yes I saw dead ants floating on the surface of the drink. I didn't want to waste this cup of expensive honey so what did I do? In order to save my cup of honey, I decided to filter all these dead things out of my cup. In that very moment, I thought I'd trying using tea bags as the filter. I ripped a bag of tea which I didn't really like, took all the contents out and started pouring my honey drink into the tea bag. To my delight, it worked wonderfully! The honey drink came out clear and free from any disgusting ants.

4. Learning watercolour background printing techniques

Through youtube.

5. Writing calligraphy again

Using mixed tools like watercolour brushes, felt tip pens and gel pens. I really enjoyed writing them.

6. Catching up with Brenda

We went one u then Ikea to look at some stuff. It was a great day!

7. Catching up with my high school friend, Tham

We had lunch together and then went for ice cream. Also a very great day.

8. Got myself a tiny plant

I always thought it's nice to have a plant on my study desk so that it'll look more lively and less boring.

9.  Indulging in Queen musics, updates, pictures and etc

I won't deny, I do this on a daily basis but during the hols I tend to spend more time on doing it.

10. Watched Bohemian Rhapsody again, TWICE in the cinemas (this year)

Borhap is the best movie ever, period. I wouldn't mind watching it over and over again in the cinemas because the audio is the best there.

11. Reading my first ever fan fiction

On Freddie Mercury. I'd never thought of reading these things until an internet friend of mine recommended it to me. It was bloody GOOD. #noragrets

12. Had my first Godiva chocolate ice cream

I'm not a big fan of chocolate so chocolate ice creams are not something that I'd usually crave for. One evening, as I was shopping with my mum and sis at KLCC, I saw many people holding cones of these delicious looking things. So I went ahead and ordered one. It was the best chocolate ice cream I've ever tasted, so far. It's really smooth and creamy. I kinda liked it.

13. Went on a boba craze

I believe many of you did as well. After trying so many brands and types, I think XFT has the best brown sugar milk tea whilst Chatime has the best roasted bubble milk tea. I have actually stopped drinking these since weeks ago because I think too much sugar in the system messes you up badly.

Tried the boba ice cream from softsrve and it tasted very much like the real boba tea, but less rich in flavour.

14. Visited Petrosains

I have nothing much to say about it but I did upload a video of the trip on youtube.

15. Visited the Batu Caves

It was an unforgettable experience. There were so many flights of stairs! The climbing wasn't easy considering the stairs were quite steep. Not forgetting to mention, there were lots of monkeys on both sides of the stairway. The cave itself was beautiful!

16. Gotten myself a new camera

But I haven't had much chance to use it because I didn't go anywhere interesting nor did I come across any interesting things to capture. But I hope I'll be able to put it to good use anytime soon.

17. Going shopping with my sister

It's something we do frequently anyway.

18. Painting my own pieces

On canvases using watercolours. One of it is a blue abstract painting and the other is a Queen album.

19. Watched 'Yesterday' - The Beatles themed movie

It was an okay movie. I enjoyed it but it's not as good as Borhap, at least in my opinion. After watching this movie, I get to learn and recognise a few Beatles hit songs.

20. Learned basic Spanish

Through a free app. I absolutely enjoyed learning it.

& I've graduated from law school, if this also counts as one of the events.

That's pretty much all the things I've done throughout my summer holidays.
I really enjoyed wasting my time during throughout this summer.
I hope I'll get the chance to do this again in the future.
