Christmas is over! How was your Christmas? :D Hope you guys had a wonderful time with your friends or family members. Mine was splendid. Had lunch buffet with my family members and went for shopping at KLCC and pavilion last Friday. Both my legs were pretty sore after all the endless walking. Spent a little time doing my econs essay just now and taking some time out to blog right now. Holidays are ending and I still have lots of assignments.. oh no.. :( Fun time's over and it's time to step back into reality again.
Woke up to another great morning in Singapore. Our second day spent in Singapore was a Sunday and our main destination of the day was the Singapore zoo. Unfortunately, the weather was being a nuisance hence our plan to visit the Singapore zoo was cancelled. It was truly disappointing as I wanted to see the both the koala and polar bear so badly but I didn't had the chance to do so. Plus, the koalas moving back to their homeland. :( But we managed to visit the River Safari which was just located next to the zoo. The best thing about this River Safari is that it is a shaded area which means that you won't have to worry about getting drenched under the rain. We had our breakfast in the morning and off we went to that place! We even brought our little baby niece there! She is such an adorable girl. :)
In Singapore, it is pretty normal to see these green road signs everywhere. In Malaysia, the road signs are usually blue in color.
Whenever you're on board you would hear something like this "Next station, Jurong East", "This train service ends at Joo Koon" and "Please mind the platform gap". These sentences are stuck in my head now temporarily. :p
We got off the MRT at Choa Chu Kang and went to the nearest bus stop to catch a bus to get to our destination.
The good thing about Singapore's transport systems is that they're very systematic. They even have different queue lanes for different buses.
In River Safari, they have several spots that display different types of fishes from different types of rivers. I couldn't remember the names of the various spots we've been according to its order. There were spots like "Mississippi river", "Mary river", "River Nile", "Ganges river", "Mekong river" and "Yangtze river".
Every night, my dad cooked us dinner at cousin's home. Another fact that I've learned during my stay in Singapore was that the bread sold here is rather expensive. It costs around $2.90 for a loaf of bread which is equals to around RM 8.75 omg.
At night, we went to a nearby Ikea store. This was the Alexandra branch.
We went to get some food at the ikea bistro.
Then we walked back to our cousin's house to have our rest.
Here's a short vlog of our 2nd day in Singapore!
That's all for now, shall be blogging about day 3 soon!
