I have always wanted to visit Singapore. Since young, I have always been told that Singapore is a very nice place with good transportation systems, beautiful tourist attractions, clean environment and it is also a very safe country. Curiosity grew and my wish to visit that country finally came true! This amazing country does have very good transportation systems and it is a really safe place. Why say so? To be honest, I'm really impressed with their transportation services. In just less than 4 minutes, the MRTs or the buses would arrive at their respective stations/stops which is super convenient especially for tourists like us since we depend highly on such public transportation services. You have to experience it to believe it. On the other hand, it's best to have a EZ-link card with you while travelling as you'll need it in order to board the MRTs or buses. You need not to worry about safety issues when travelling around Singapore as this place is safe. My family and I have walked around a few places late at night here and we didn't have to worry about anything. But my legs are kind of sore now after a long period of continuous walking, hehe.
This trip was organised by my mum as we wanted to visit our baby niece and also our cousins who lives in Singapore. As usual, I'm the one who booked the tickets and I even did some research online with my dad to check out which are the famous tourist attractions in Singapore. We stayed in our cousin's house. Our duration of stay in Singapore was 8 days and 7 nights. We arrived at Singapore by 12th Dec and came back to Malaysia by 19 Dec. What about the weather? It is almost the same as our motherland, Malaysia.
Alright, let's get started shall we?
Arrived at KLIA 2 at around 8 am and checked in our luggage at 9 am. After that, we went for breakfast at oldtown. By 10.45 am, we checked in ourselves and waited at the departure hall. Our flight departed at 11.25 am. This round, we chose Jetstar airways.
Before heading to cousin's house, we had lunch at this place that serves western cuisines (also in terminal 1).
My dad and I shared a plate of lemon lime grilled chicken with sides (wedges and mac n cheese). SGD 9.90.
Later in the evening, my family and I went to Vivocity (the largest Singapore lifestyle and retail store) with our cousins to have our dinner there. It was raining for the entire day hence our initial plan of visiting Sentosa was canceled. What a bummer.
You can spot Sentosa across Vivocity.
Here's a short vlog about our day 1 trip in Singapore!
That's all for now, stay tuned for the upcoming updates (day 2 and more)!
