Hey lovelies. I'm back for another update before going back to college again. This will be my last semester in college and my final exams will be starting in May. I really need to work harder than before now. There are so many things that I don't really understand from the A2 syllabus. On the brighter side, I will be finishing A levels this June! All the best to you guys too. :)
Missing Singapore as I'm typing this.. So, on the third day of our stay in Singapore, my dad, sis and I went to visit the Sentosa island in the afternoon. I have always heard about how fun the Sentosa island is and that's where the USS is located at. A lot of people have asked me why didn't I visit the USS in Singapore and the reason is just simple, I am not interested in those fictional cartoon characters that they have in there such as transformers or the sesame street and etc (don't judge me) and all I wanted was just to visit their beaches. I was really looking forward to visiting the beach! They have 3 beaches there which are the family friendly Palawan beach, Siloso beach and Tanjong beach. We went for the Palawan beach instead since it's more family friendly. The best part of it is that the Sentosa island is now open to the public for free till 31st December 2016 but only if you're getting to that island by using the Sentosa boardwalk which is located right outside of Vivocity. Let the pictures do the talking!
Of course, there are other options to get to the Sentosa island such as taking the cable car. I'm not sure where the cable car station is located at but you can always check out the Sentosa's website to find out more about it! :)
Walking towards Sentosa island. The good thing about the boardwalk is that it is shaded so you don't have to worry about the hot hot sun. :D
First thing you'll see after reaching the entrance of Sentosa island is the trick eye museum. I wanted to visit that place but it was pricey so it was a no.. Everything here is 3 times more expensive than in Malaysia! :(
I was unsure of directions hence I approached the information counter to ask for directions and the lady there told us if we were to head to the beaches we have to take the sentosa express train to the beach station. This train service is free too!
Waiting for the beach tram. There were two beach tram stops. This is the Palawan and Tanjong beach tram stop while the other one was the Siloso beach tram stop. We waited for almost 10 minutes for the tram.
Those annoying moments when the beach sand gets stuck in between your toes and in your toe nails grr.
The Merlion statue. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to visit other attractions as we went there late on that day.
We tried out llaollao for the first time! I chose to have it in Singapore instead of Malaysia as it was quite famous in Singapore before it launched its branches in Malaysia.
My sis and I shared the medium sized llaollao. It was good! Better than the one in Pavilion KL. We had oreos, strawberries and blueberries as the toppings. SGD 5.90.
