Psst... sorry for the late updates, I've been busy recently.
"Where would you like to visit most while you're in Singapore?"
For me it would be both the hustling and bustling Orchard road and the grand Marina Bay Sands! I can't believe that I have finally gotten the chance to witness how magnificent both these places are with my very own eyes. It always works this way, you wouldn't find anything special about the buildings in the cities of your own country but when you're in a foreign country, you'll always be struck with awe when you get to look at their buildings and stuff like that. Guess I'm too used to seeing the skyscrapers and the buildings in my own country's main capital, Kuala Lumpur. But my love for Kuala Lumpur will never die.
I started my day off like this. Woke up and took care of my baby niece for a while, tidied myself up, had breakfast and then went off to explore both of these places with my dad. What do I mean by "exploring these places"? Well, the story goes like this, my dad and I wanted to do a little exploration on how to get to both of these places correctly without getting lost. We wanted to go during the night but we thought it would be safer if we know our routes first hence we did a little exploration on the mrt lines that we'll need to travel along in order to get there. During our journey, we were kind of lost and thank goodness the staffs at the mrt stations were friendly enough to guide us on the directions. Basically, I went to both of these places in the afternoon and at night. Going to Orchard road was easy, we took the bus and went straight to that place.
They said it's a must to visit Orchard road during festive seasons as you'll get to see these beautiful christmas decorations along the way!
I love how they make their streets look so christmas-y and those decorations are pretty cute and cheerful.
Went into this lucky plaza for a while to have a look. It's interior looks just like the ampang park in kl.
Spot the moving ice cream stalls. Heard from my friends that these stalls sell bread ice creams that taste good. Unfortunately I didn't get to try as I was rushing for time.
Outside of Paragon mall.
A fact about this road is that there's many shopping malls along this road. Keep walking further and you'll reach the 313 Somerset and Orchard Gateway.
We thought that if we were to get to Marina Bay we would just have to get off the mrt at the Marina Bay station but it's not. The sign here says that in order to get to the Marina Bay Sands, we'll need to head over to the Bayfront station.
Reached Bayfront station. In case if you're lost, just refer to this system map to figure out which line you'll need to take to get to your destinations.
Once you get out of the station, you will find yourself inside the Shoppes mall at Marina Bay Sands.
There's one thing that I've realised about this place is that it looks a bit like Pavilion KL. It has many branded shops, not forgetting to mention that it's large and spacious.
One of the significant statues in Singapore, the Merlion! Unfortunately it was under maintenance hence there was no water coming out of its mouth. :(
At night, we went to visit the Marina Bay Sands again. This time, we went along with my mum and sis. Took the bus to Orchard and then headed over to MBS through the mrt.
In Singapore, it's very common to see double decker buses travelling all around the places while in Malaysia, we rarely have such buses..
They were having a christmas light show at the gardens by the bay that night. Looks so special right?!
The AIA Christmas Wonderland. Admission was free. It was like some kind of carnival where they had some food and game booths.
And that's all for the 4th day of our trip!
Hope you enjoyed reading.
See you in the upcoming post. :D
Like in the previous posts, here's a short vlog for day 4!
