In just a blink of an eye, a month has passed. And not forgetting to say HELLO to the all of you here. HELLO GUYS! I can still remember that we had our exams not long ago and now we're going to have our exams again on the 13th of May, which is the mid-term exam. Form 4 isn't a wonderful life for the all of us, seriously. We're loaded with a lot of homework every single day, without fail. I can feel that we could hardly get ourselves some free time to do things that we like. Sad life is sad. Anyway, life has to go on. :D
I'll only be back here after I have completed with all the exams. I shall continue blogging my China trip that I have been to about a month ago. :)
On the third day of our stay in Hangzhou, we were glad that the weather was good on that day, hence we are able to take a stroll around the West lake area! :D Well, we weren't really taking a stroll there, we actually went there to explore the beauty of the lake. So we took a cab there in the morning and we walked for the rest of our journey around the West lake.
This is the view of the lake, it's a really huge lake. To me, it looks more like an ocean than a lake.
A boat in the middle of the Westlake. These kinds of boats can be found at the sides of the lake, it is used to fetch tourists around the lake. If you wanna take a ride on these types of traditional boats, you can bargain the price with the boatman.
Walking along the way! It's good to have your morning walk here, hahaha.
There were many of these nice trees along the pathway.
Was it an eagle?! No, it was an eagle kite. :p
There were bikes available for rental.
We were freezing and so we bought some meatballs to eat.
Honestly, I personally think that these meatballs were a bit soggy as they were overcooked. D:
Gu shan. 孤山。
After that, we went to the island in the middle of the lake by taking the boat by purchasing tickets from the ticket booth.
Took this when we reached the island.
Lovely flowers everywhere.
In that island, there was a small lake too!
Reflections.
One of the famous tourist attractions, this is called the 'Three Ponds Mirroring The Moon, 三潭印月'
You can see these at the back of the One Yuan RMB.
Cute little boy :)
And this is me! :)
There were large Koi fishes in the pond.
Precious Koi fishes.
There was also an another island in the middle of West lake, but that island is not open to tourists.
Then we left the island in the afternoon, we went to have our lunch at a famous chinese restaurant.
Roasted duck, but it was quite dry.
Cold drunken chicken.
Longjing tea.
I forgot what is the name of the soup but it has a strong vinegar taste.
Pork.
This is a type of vege that tastes like jelly. It is a product of West lake.
Stir-fried broccoli.
After lunch, we continued with our journey.
A maple leaf?
断桥。It is known as the broken bridge.
We spotted these beautiful ducks there.
I love this picture.
Walked around the west lake.
Let me tell you a little story about our journey. We actually decided to walk back to our hotel as we were exhausted with all the walking in the afternoon. We asked for directions from a policeman and he just simply pointed towards a road and said that we could just walk back to our hotel by using that road. And bammm! The road actually leads to somewhere which we don't know and we ended up walking a few kilometers. I think that road was actually a part of the national park's pathway if I'm not mistaken. Okay I'm confused. Eventually, after walking for a few kilometers, we have reached the Ling Yin temple (灵隐寺). All thanks to that mr policeman who actually gave us the wrong directions (because he wasn't concentrating on giving us the right directions and he kept on looking at my sister). Instead of heading back to the hotel, we ended up in Ling Yin temple. So we had Starbucks at tea time and took a cab back to our hotel. Thank goodness there was a taxi driver who was willing to fetch us back to our hotel during the peak hour or else @$#%$#^$... sigh.
Along the national park's pathway.
The road to ling yin temple.
Luckily there was a Starbucks cafe there. We had our tea time there.
Looks like a heart shape.
At night, we had our dinner at the 新白鹿 restaurant which is located in the Yin Tai department store.
Oh yeah, Hangzhou is famous for its silk. The hotel that we stayed is just right next to this silk shopping center.
The moon was so bright that night.
A kite with led lights.
We went to 吴山天峰 again.
Lights.
And we went to He Fang street again before going back to the hotel.
That is all for the places that we have been to in Hangzhou. On the next morning, we took the bullet train back to Shanghai. I shall blog about our trip to Shanghai in the next post. :D
Below are some short videos that I took on that day.
See you guys!
