Hello people! Long time no see! Well, I have neglected my blog for a month I think. I have never posted anything interesting these days so here I am! I'm here today to post about the China trip that I have recently went to with my family, which was last week.
This trip was properly planned by my dad last year. First, we booked the flight tickets online and then only I started booking the hotels for our stay. I was glad that my effort in searching for the hotels which are the nearest to our destinations was totally paid off. We have been to both Hangzhou and Shanghai during the entire week. We stayed in Hangzhou for 4 days 3 nights and the duration for our stay in Shanghai was also 4 days 3 nights. The weather there was seriously cold although it is the spring season in their country. The trip was wonderful. I really wish that we could visit either Hangzhou or Shanghai again. But honestly, I prefer Hangzhou more as it is a really good place with amazing tourist attractions.
So for the first day, we went to Hangzhou. We departed at KLIA on last Friday midnight which is 1:40 am and we reached Shanghai's Pudong airport at about 6:40 am. After that, we took the cab to Shanghai Hongqiao's railway station. We took the high speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao to Hangzhou Zhejiang's railway station. And here are the pictures :
We took the MAS flight to Pudong.
We took the Aerotrain to KLIA's satellite building to board our flight.
The plane that we took.
In the plane.
It's me in the plane! :)
They provided us with breakfast at 4 something in the early morning. I was having a terrible headache therefore I did not finish it.
The view out of the plane's window.
Collected our baggage once we reached the Pudong airport.
The high speed train at Hongqiao railway station. Or some of them prefer to call it as 'bullet train'.
In the train. Spacious and comfortable. Unlike normal trains where you have to squeeze with the others. Buying a ticket for a ride in the bullet train is just like buying an airplane ticket. They have seat numbers.
Peace! Gah, my hair looks dry and frizzy. :(
Below are the pictures of the things that I see along the way in the train.
Our train tickets. It costs us around RMB310 altogether for 4 persons I guess, I couldn't remember the price. Definitely pricier than the usual tickets.
The speed of the bullet train.
Here we are! The Hangzhou railway station. It's really crowded with poeple. We had a hard time carrying our luggages (cuz it's huge) and this railway station only has staircases.
After that, we took the cab to the hotel that we stay. We stayed in a hotel named Victoria Regal hotel in the Zhejiang district. Then, we went to a nearby restaurant for our lunch, it is a famous restaurant in that area.
Xiao long bao!
After our lunch, we went around for a walk. We did not plan to go anywhere on that day.
吴山天国
Heading towards the He Fang street. Next to me is a row of stall selling different types of items like hats, souvenirs, toys and etc.
Stalls selling various of things. And it's 'people mountain people sea' direct translation from the word 人山人海 which means there's a lot of people.
We had come to the He Fang street. Along the street, you'll see lots of shops selling oo long tea, silk and lots of traditional things.
Looks like the old shops that you watched from the movies right?
It's best to come during spring as you'll have the chance to see flowers of various types and colours.
On the way back to our hotel. Ahead of us is the Yin Tai department store. It's really convenient as the department store is just right opposite of our hotel. There's also KFC and pizza hut restaurants around that area. And that's where I get my wifi source from, muahahaha.
Then at night, we went to the nearby shopping mall which is the Yin Tai department store to have our dinner. We had our dinner at a restaurant named 一茶一座. How I wish they are available in Malaysia. :(
Then, we went to Starbucks for a coffee as the weather there is really cold. This is where I get my wifi source so that I can post my pictures on Instagram muahahaha.
Walking back to our hotel. This is how the street looks like when it's dark. The weather was so cold. It was around 8 Celsius at that time. We can see the mist coming out of our mouths once we speak. Looks like winter to me.
The misty streets.
That is all for the first day in Hangzhou. Stay tuned for the next update!
